"Well, that escalated quickly" would probably be a pointing term to describe the auction prices seen lately: on the rise and obviously special things in search -- rarity is key -- while many usual suspects and "standard" watches were not able to surprise. And this is what we expected for years and we are quite sure this trend will move on further with many major player coming in (supply AND demand) -- from standard new to exclusive, rare and special vintage. Pricewise it is often the same and while in the 1st case you buy a lot of air in a marketing-ballon, you get serious quality in the latter case.
