PlusUltraMuse-um
This is our museum -- pieces that we found in the past and are not included in our offerings. Usually important (& endangered) timepieces (Horological Milestones) that have a special position or role in horological history and are inspiring when set into context of a historical development and other watches. It is a very personal collection, that not only shows our view on certain past developments in horology but also underlines our understanding of important timepieces (*klikk). The difference: We are not dependent on a) any brand and so can set up a collection of the relevant timepieces regardless of the maker, b) we are completely independent and not singing the song of a certain club, guild or group and c) we understand that the development of the gold price between 1970 and 1980 is the most important single factor in the watch-industry and how it threatened many relevant horological artefacts -- here:*klikk.. Yes, and last but not least: d) we are not mecha-dogmatic. That means we dont exclude electronic watches and thus the fastest, most vibrant and most competitive era in watchmaking from our views -- the 1960s and 1970s.
We will probably change texts and form of presentation in future and even the collection may change over time -- new pieces will be added and some might go. Especially when we see that a watch fits very good or even better into another collection. But for now it is like that, probably new & different and hopefully inspiring: Plus Ultra.
