Piaget for their 100th Anniversary in 1974: Asymmetric Limelight Gala Empress (Female Emperador) Cuffwatch.
A piece unique today and 50 years ago already rare and special and so interesting in its design that Piaget used it as the model for its celebrated and 2023 GPHG-awarded Piaget "Hidden Treasure".
It is not only one of the heaviest ladies-watches right behind the 1960s Rolex Queen Midas (200g) but the bracelet-type is also the role-model for the 1979 appearing Piaget Polo and even more: rare and special already in yellowgold but this whitegold example is one of the most unusual Piaget.
Ad 2024-01-21: The ribbed case- & bracelet-design inspired Patek that presented the ref3733 in 1977. But a copy could also go wrong: To save more than half of the gold the Patek ref3733 not only has a thin case but also comes with hollow tubes threaded on two wires -- birds-on-a-string-watch. But it looks similar and hey! its a Patek, right?
