Hidden Treasures, an article from 2003 by Mr Mehltretter about the rare JLC-Chronometers and also the cal904 ref24000 made by JLC as a response to a) upcoming quartz-watches and its precision and b) the AP-ignited luxury-steel-sportswatch trend. With just 520 pieces made in 1973 it is one of the rarest early icon in this group, with siblings like AP Royal Oak, PP Nautilus, IWC Ingenieur and Vacheron Royal Chronometre (ref42001) -- the latter using the same cal906, too.
Shown in the variant with the doublesignature of Saudi Airlines and as a full set -- the one that we have in our stock, now. It is always nice to hear details and provenance of a known expert about such pieces.
