EmailThis is one of the most interesting and unusual AP, that is rarely seen: the vintage one-hand Philosophique. Well, most AP Royal Oak and most Quantieme Perpetuel look very usual (and somewhat boring?) when compared to this watch. The AP that doesnt look like AP for those who don't know -- and paying just a fraction is always a joy. It was priced a strong 9ˋ900 Deutsche Mark in their 1986 catalogue and showed the variety of AP more than 30 years ago.
Round case with a white gold dot marking the time zone adjustment, super-thin, Vendome lugs, hidden crown and just one hand -- WOW! It is made in bi-color of 18K white & yellow gold and the whole inner case (movement, dial, small dot) could be turned to change the time zone.
So, this is how we like it: Without being overly complicated you get a funky and highly noteworthy watch, that definitely starts the talk when you want to: It is a 80s gem with a fantastic thin case made of white and yellow gold (bicolor), has basically a GMT-feature included and shows time with just one hand. The solid white & yellow gold case is connected to the original 18K yellow gold AP folding clasp by the original AP alligator strap -- classic.
The watch was serviced by AP, Switzerland and comes with a 24 months guarantee until 2024, its box and in excellent condition.
