This sparkling jewelry watch is not only diamond-set on the bezel and the bracelet but also very beautiful manufactured in solid 18K white gold -- haute joaillerie.
It was made and sold December 11th, 1972 by the famous Lucerne based jeweler Gubelin and appears in very good and sparkling condition -- almost 50 years later.
More than 80 diamonds total to almost 3 carats and the 18K white gold case and bracelet was made by the Les Acacias-based manufacture 'Adea Fontan' and is obvious a statement. A piece of jewelry art in the tradition of Gilbert Albert: rough but harmonic, asymmetric but beautiful.
This is an rare find and an icon that looks amazing on a ladies wrist -- very iconic, very impressive and very feminine.
Currently it fits a slightly more than 160mm wrist and shortening is possible relatively easy but extending needs a lot more effort.
This timepiece is in very good condition, with all links tight and almost no signs of wear. Furthermore, the watch comes with its original paper: invoice from Gubelin, selling it for CHF11'000 in 1972.
