This one is an excellent preserved example made by IWC in 1971 -- so now 50 years ago and with no relevant signs of wear and unpolished. This rare reference is not only beautiful in its appearance but solid and thus heavy. The sweep second is a mesmerizing feature of the fantastic tuning fork movements humming at a frequency of 300Hz -- make sure to read the relevant blog articles on our site, to understand our enthusiasm for this technology -- and the gentle vibration that could be heard and felt on the finger tips is something that simply isn't available with purely mechanical watches.
The original merely worn IWC leather strap connects the beautiful and unpolished case to the original IWC buckle. The movement was serviced by us and is running as precise as it did already 50 years ago.
