1950s Fancy Crab Lugs: Early JLC P812 in Gold Filled Case

Jaeger LeCoultre 1950s Bumper Automatic, Patina Dial, Fancy Crab Lugs, P812

The condition of this unusual LeCoultre with automatic bumper movement cal P812, that was made for the American market in 1950s is exceptional good. The movement was serviced right now and is running flawless.

The dial is beautiful and in original un-restored condition: a mesmerizing small second on a beautifully aged ivory colored dial with applied hour indexes and drilled minute markers. The case is 10K gold filled and has developed an amazing patina as well -- very balanced and very authentic. The fancy crab lugs are harmonic to the case and could be seen on Vacheron or Patek models from that era, too.

Now, we decided to put a new custom made brown alligator leather strap on this interesting 50s watch case -- a collectors item, but ready to wear.
