- Time (Hour, Minute)
WHY WE LOVE IT: Because the Gilbert Albert-Omegas are made by the finest materials in highest quality by hand (manufactured) and thus low quantities. Yes, and being made from the early / mid 1960s the GA-Omegas were probably the inspiration for the Andrew Grima-designed celebrated "About Time"-series from 1969 onwards.
All original early 1960s Omega-Secret "Matchsticks" designed by Gilbert Albert: concealed dial, naturalistic design, diamonds and a rare and important Omega DuoPlan-movement -- probably unique. The matchstick-design was also used by Andrew Grima in the late 1960s for Omega and in his own jewellery and became a icon in the '60s and '70s.
The watch-face opens with a snap when a certain diamond is pushed -- just ask for a video if you want to see the working of the mechanism of this special and rare ladies-jewel.
The movement was serviced right now and works reliable and precise, the clasp closes tight and securely and the bracelet is flexible but at the same time without any stretch or issues -- amazing condition for this Gilbert Albert jewel made 60 years ago.
