1961 Patrimony with Legendary Thin Cal1003 in Very Good Condition
Vacheron Constantin 1961 Vintage Patrimony / Calatrava, cal1003
- Time (Hour, Minute)
Yellow Gold extra thin 1961 Vacheron Patrimony / Calatrava housing the popular cal1003 -- a milestone developed by VC in 1955 and still produced today. So, there is nothing else to say regarding this thin and reliable manual winding caliber.
But of course a lot to say about the rest: The watch was made in 1961 according to its serial numbers and the included excerpt of VC Archives. It has a beautiful and original sunburst dial with applied indexes and overall in very good condition. The Anoine Gerlach, SA (Geneva) case has a coin edge structured bezel, which is obviously unpolished as is the rest of the watch -- all hallmarks deep and visible and the edges and shape are crisp. The domed crystal is a joy to see, as is the whole watch in its appearance -- beautiful classic.
We decided to put a custom made tan / orange colored alligator strap between the case and the original 18K AWenger buckle. We think it fits the classic and minimalist design of the dial very good but we understand when you prefer a more classic strap -- we will provide a classic gray one in same high quality, as well.
